A taxi service by the name of Tesla Aschaffenburg based in Germany has recently announced that it would be receiving Dogecoin payments for settling freights. Stefan Muller, the owner of the company, claims that he got the idea from his son, who is a big Dogecoin proponent and has invested a lot of his money into the meme cryptocurrency. He also claimed that his son has been following Elon Musk and his Dogecoin army that are certain that it would soon reach the moon.

According to Muller, at first, it was all a big marketing stunt to get more attention from the consumers in Germany. However, since the popularity of Dogecoin has skyrocketed, the company management has decided to keep the service option open for consumers. A few days ago, the news was posted about the taxi company on Reddit and went viral soon after.

In the last few weeks, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been busy promoting Dogecoin on every possible occasion. Sharing meme-based artwork to appearing on SNL and making plans to send the satirical crypto literally into space are all part of the promotions. As apparent by the name of Taxi service in Germany called Tesla Aschaffenburg, it has taken its motivation from Tesla CEO.

According to Muller, since the post about accepting Dogecoin for payment has been gaining attention on Reddit, more consumers want to try it out. The company also accepts other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum as payments as well. After the massive DOGE adoption campaign by Musk, other business owners like Mark Cuban have also opened gates for accepting DOGE as payment for his NBA team, Dallas Mavericks.

In a related new development, the international hacker vigilantes ‘Anonymous’ has posted a warning for Elon Musk for destroying lives with his tweets. The anonymous posted on June 5, 2021, that the tweets posted by Musk are playing games with the crypto marketers. The hacktivists also called out the dependency of Tesla on government subsidies and the production of blood batteries.
