Japanese gaming colossus Konami has declared thoughts to set up a series of NFT games and other extensive Web3-related products and services. In a blog post on Thursday, Konami said it was in the process of searching for parties to build the system and develop services to implement new features such as eb-3 and the Metaverse and it is considering adding more staff members.

The gaming giant said it plans to incorporate its advanced inventions into its games, supplying the gamers with one of its flagship creations.

NFTs are converted into games

Konami disclosed that they were  doing investigation and improvement measures to integrate the current engineering advances into its projects and content, allowing players to exchange in-game NFTs with the use of a blockchain-based service.

Konami claims that NFTs can be utilized for many aims. Novelties are mainly applied to show some  specific in-game amusement items, but they can also stand for entertainment coins and that allow cardholders to use services and communicate with other people.

The first NFT games by Konami

Note that this is not Konami’s 1st attempt to integrate the blockchain world. At the beginning of this year, Konami made a celebration for the Castlevania’s 35th anniversary by selling various NFT brands.

Much of the items consists of animations of him, including  footage from the game and his first 3 games, played on different devices. The last part of the collection includes cards and art objects shown in Castlevania.

The future of NFTs

NFTs are at an all-time low in popularity. It should be noted that Konami’s bid for NFTs came at a time when the NFT digital token market was at an all-time low. As previously reported, NFT trading volume is on a downward trend, down almost 100%. But still, many influencers strongly believe in the development and future use of the NFTs.

They are highly important for artists and other creative people, as they provide ultimate protection of their rights. What more, NFT are now becoming part of various Metaverses and company products, like exclusives from film and computer companies. So, many predictions state a good future for NFTs.
